AGA Chapter - Nashville Winter Seminar
This seminar will include a large array of topics that affect the government manager and the government auditor. Stephen J. Gauthier, Director, Technical Services Center, Government Finance Officers Association will start with a session that will examine recent guidance from both the Governmental Accounting Standards Board and the Government Finance Officers Association.
Anne D. Smith, Ph.D. will discuss decision-making under stress.
Stephanie Richardson, Tennessee's ERP project manager, will discuss her division's Enterprise Resource Planning journey.
On day 2, the morning will include information on frauds, forensic accounting, and risk assessments. Speakers covering these fraud topics will include Art Hayes, CPA, Tennessee Director of State Audit, Jim C. Wilson, Jr., CPA, and Stan Wilson and Jeff Tuley with NetEvidence, Inc.

AGA Chapter - Sixth Annual Technology Conference
Speakers will focus on how data can be used and abused. They will discuss how huge amounts of data can be effectively analyzed; how data can be compromised; how to protect your data from unauthorized access; and how to identify and prevent improper activities. A panel of experts will also discuss information security policies and their impact on auditors. Other speakers will examine stories right out of recent headlines including detecting Medicaid Fraud.
